  • How do I get one? Eval units are available now. Email us with your shipping information and you'll receive it tomorrow via Fed Ex. Priced at US$100 each, the eval board comes fully loaded with the latest firmware from Oxford Semiconductor. And the purchase price for the eval unit is credited 100% to your first production quantity order.
  • Do you take Corporate Purchase Orders? Of course. Allow 2-3 business days for approval.
  • Do you take Credit Cards? Yes, Visa and MasterCard. You may also pre-pay by bank transfer or check.
  • Do you ship internationally? Yes, our company has been exporting since 1981. Prices are quoted F.O.B. our site, you are responsible for all duties, taxes, freight and VAT.
  • Is your board compatible with any other devices? We're always updating our list, so check back often.
  • What's the difference between "FireWire", "iLink" and "IEEE 1394"? Nothing. They're just different names for the same thing: a protocol for a super-fast, super-easy way of blasting huge files between hot-swappable plug-and-play peripherals.
  • I need to change your board to fit my enclosure/ computer/ hamster. How long will that take? We have our own engineering staff, board layout facility, part assembly plant, and prototype shop, all under one roof. Short answer: We're fast. Really, really fast.
  • What about FCC and CE? We have our own EMI and ESD equipment, including spectrum analyzers. We do our own analysis before going for certification, greatly increasing the chances of passing the first time.
  • Do you provide local inventory? Yes. Our main warehouse is in California. We can also provide local inventory within Europe, Canada and the PacRim.
  • I hate to wait. You don't have these built by some subcontractor in a shack in some far-off country, do you? Absolutely not! Unlike our competitors, we do all our own assembly in a brand-new, state-of-the-art robotic asembly plant in Irvine, California.
  • How much does it cost? Depends on the quantity of your order and the magnitude of your changes, but less than you probably are expecting.
  • Do you supply FireWire cables? Enclosures? Drives? We're an engineering and manufacturing firm. We don't sell anything other than the tested bridge board. We are happy to refer you to some great suppliers.
  • How is it packaged? Each board is individually sealed in an anitstatic bag. Ten bags are then placed in a larger antistatic shipping bag. Custom packaging is available for an extra charge.
  • Can you do retail packaging? No problem, we do it all the time.
  • What's the warranty? Three years for registered customers, no questions asked. If the workmanship of our board is found defective, we will pay for shipping both ways anywhere in the world. See warranty registration card for full details.
  • How long has your company been in business? Since 1981.
  • What about tech support? We offer free tech support to you, our qualified OEM customer, for as long as you need it. We are unable at this time to support endusers.
  • Which bridge chips do you use? Our off-the-shelf solution uses the chip made by Oxford Semiconductor. We've also built bridge boards using the chip by Texas Instruments.

  • Where do I go to see a demo? Our labs are in Irvine, California, just a stone's throw from Orange County Airport. Otherwise, meet us at any of the numerous trade shows we attend around the world.
